From October 19 to 22, representatives from member
states of the Conference of Constitutional Jurisdictions of the Turkic World
(TÜRK-AY) visited Azerbaijan at the invitation of the Constitutional Court of
the Republic of Azerbaijan – which currently holds the chairmanship of the
organization – to participate in a round table on the topic, "The role of artificial intelligence in the functioning
of constitutional courts".
During the visit, the delegations, accompanied by
judges and senior staff of the Constitutional Court, visited the cities of
Shusha and Khankendi. They got acquainted with large-scale restoration and
construction work carried out in the liberated territories, the creation of
modern infrastructure, the reconstruction of cities and the construction of
social facilities. Foreign guests were provided with information on the scale
of the restoration process, the preservation and reconstruction of the
historical appearance of cities based on the principles of modern urban
planning and the measures taken towards the sustainable development of the
region.
The guests visited Karabakh University, got acquainted
with modern educational and scientific opportunities created at this
university, met with students of the Faculty of Law. During the event, an
exchange of views took place on constitutional justice, the development of the
legal system and challenges arising in the legal sphere in modern times, as
well as members of the delegation answered questions from the students. The
meeting was important in terms of familiarizing young lawyers with
international experience, increasing their legal knowledge and professional
development.
For representatives of the bodies of constitutional
jurisdiction representing the countries of the Turkic world, this visit is
significant from the point of view of close observation of the modern model of
development of Azerbaijan, as well as the ongoing work towards ensuring a
sustainable life in the region.
During the visit to Karabakh, the measures implemented by our state toward the revival of the territories liberated from occupation and the creation of a modern living environment left a positive impression on the foreign guests.
