On April 6, a meeting was held at the Constitutional Court with a delegation led by the Prosecutor General of the Supreme Court of Türkiye, Muhsin Şentürk.

In his speech, Chairman of the Constitutional Court Farhad Abdullayev said that the Azerbaijani-Turkish brotherhood, drawing strength in common national and spiritual values   and traditions, is an example for the countries of the world. He noted that as a result of the successful policy pursued by President Ilham Aliyev and President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the inviolable relations between the two fraternal countries have risen to the level of reliable strategic co-operation.

The strategic interaction of our states, which have enormous geopolitical and economic potential, is aimed at ensuring peace and security in the region, further strengthening the development of co-operation in all areas, including judicial and legal. It was noted that our people always highly appreciate the support of fraternal Türkiye, which was a support to our state at the most important moments, was next to our country during the Patriotic War and during local anti-terrorist measures carried out in order to restore the constitutional order. Today, the legal force of the Basic Law has been fully restored in our sovereign republic, and with the liberation of the occupied lands, the protection of the constitutional rights of citizens has been ensured.

He stressed that fraternal relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye are successfully developing in all areas, including the judicial and legal system.

Prosecutor General of the Supreme Court of Türkiye, Muhsin Şentürk, highly appreciated bilateral relations and noted that special attention is being paid to the development of relations between the two fraternal peoples. According to him, co-operation based on the principle of "One nation, two states" is important in terms of the exchange of experience and mutual support between state institutions.

During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on the role of constitutional justice, the development of legal systems, and the strengthening of interaction between judicial institutions and prosecution authorities.

The parties noted the importance of further expanding co-operation in ensuring the rule of law and protecting human rights and freedoms.

In conclusion, the guests got acquainted with the Constitutional Court building and took commemorative photographs.
