Judge of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of
Azerbaijan Rauf Guliyev and Head of Department of Reception of Citizens and
Complaints Rustam Salimov visited Seoul, Republic of Korea, to participate in
the 5th International Symposium of the Secretariat for Research and
Development of the Association of Asian Constitutional Courts and Equivalent
Institutions, held on August 26-27, 2025.
At the opening of the event, Kim Sanghwan, Chairman of
the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Korea, welcomed the guests.
At the Symposium, held with the participation of
judges and staff of constitutional justice bodies from Korea, Türkiye,
Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Russia, Bangladesh, Indonesia,
the Philippines, India, Thailand, Malaysia and other Asian countries, reports
were heard on the practice of constitutional courts regarding the determination
of the right to personal immunity and the legal restrictions of that right, and
a wide exchange of views was held.
Judge of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of
Azerbaijan Rauf Guliyev delivered a report and brought to the attention of the
participants of the event the legal positions of the Constitutional Court
reflected in the decision of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of
Azerbaijan dated November 25, 2024 "On interpretation of the concept of
"apartment" reflected in Article 157 of the Criminal Code of the
Republic of Azerbaijan in terms of the right to inviolability of housing
provided for in Article 33 of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan".
As part of the visit, the Symposium participants visited the building of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Korea and became familiar with the practical activities of the court.
