The delegation, headed by Chairman of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan Farhad Abdullayev, paid an official visit to Minsk at the invitation of Chairman of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus Pyotr Miklashevich. The purpose of the visit was to participate in an international conference dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus on the topic "The supremacy of the Constitution: constitutional changes and the modern development of constitutional control."

During the opening of the conference, an address from the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko to the participants of the event was read out.

At the international conference " The supremacy of the Constitution: constitutional changes and the modern development of constitutional control" discussions were held on important topics in the field of law.

In the practical part of the conference, reports were heard on the results of legislative reforms carried out in the Republic of Belarus, granting citizens and courts the right and authority to appeal to the Constitutional Court, modern development of constitutional control in the CIS countries, ensuring the supremacy of the Constitution in the activities of courts of general jurisdiction, modern development of constitutional control, ensuring the supremacy of the Constitution in the activities of courts of general jurisdiction and other legal issues, as well as a wide exchange of views.

At the conference, Chairman of the Constitutional Court Farhad Abdullayev made a report on “Development trends of the institution of constitutional control in the Republic of Azerbaijan.”

The international conference dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus was attended by delegations of the CIS countries, heads of many state bodies of the Republic of Belarus and representatives of the scientific community, as well as chairmen of the Court of the Eurasian Economic Union and economic courts of the CIS countries.

During the visit, bilateral business meetings were held with the Chairman of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus, judges and the leadership of the Staff, as well as discussions on legal issues related to judicial practice and mutual judicial and legal cooperation.

During the business visit of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Belarus Maharram Aliyev also took part in the events and meetings.
