On January 23, a meeting was held at the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan with a delegation of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights, led by the head of the observation mission, Eoghan Murphy.

During the meeting, Chairman Farhad Abdullayev noted that elections are one of the most important processes of social and political life and one of the important factors of a democratic society, and informed in detail about the powers and functions of the Constitutional Court enshrined in the Constitution and laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan in connection with the presidential elections.

The head of the mission, Eoghan Murphy, expressed gratitude for the information provided and raised questions about the activities and goals of the election observation mission.

During the meeting, some legal issues related to the electoral process were discussed.

The meeting was also attended by judges of the Constitutional Court and senior officials.
