On 7 October Chairman of Azerbaijan`s Constitutional Court Farhad Abdullayev met today with Chairwoman of Slovak Constitutional Court Ivetta Macejkova.

Farhad Abdullayev briefed Ivetta Macejkova on the ongoing legal reforms in Azerbaijan saying they ensure development of social, cultural and legal values of the country.
He noted the Constitution adopted under the leadership of national leader Heydar Aliyev in 1995 in Azerbaijan opened broad opportunities to build legal state and civil society.
According to him, the Constitutional Court places special emphasis on establishing international relations.
Abdullayev also pointed out the Azerbaijan Constitutional Court has adopted 170 decisions.
For her part, Ivetta Macejkova briefed Farhad Abdullayev on the activity of the Slovak Constitutional Court.
She said they attach special importance to cooperation with their Azerbaijani counterparts.
The sides also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.

During the visit Mrs. Macejkova has visited Alley of Honors to lay a wreath at the tomb of Azerbaijan`s nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev and meet with the Minister of Justice Mr. Fikrat Mammadov, Chairman of the Supreme Court Mr. Ramiz Rzayev and Ombudsman Mrs. Elmira Suleymanova.
